Six Students Selected for Assist2Admit Program
Press Release March 15, 2021
Out of 31 students nominated, six students were selected for participation in the Assist2Admit program.
Common themes among the applicants are that English is not the primary language spoken at home, technology constraints pose serious obstacles during remote learning, and extra support is desired to navigate the admissions process as first generation college applicants.
Among them, two young women and four young men: two juniors from the class of 2022, two sophomores from the class of 2023, and two freshmen from the class of 2024. Three San Diego County high schools are represented, including El Camino High School in Oceanside Unified School District, San Dieguito Academy in San Dieguito Union High School District and St. Augustine High School.
